How to Join the Sub-branch

Step 1: Start Your Membership Application

Visit the RSL NSW “Become a Member” page to begin your application. You can choose to either Join Online or Download a Membership Form. To assist you, we’ve included information below about the different types of membership available.

Step 2: Choose Your Sub-Branch

As part of your application, you’ll be asked to select an RSL sub-branch to join. We warmly encourage you to choose Coogee Randwick Clovelly, where you’ll find a welcoming and supportive community ready to connect with you.

Step 3: Provide Your Details

Next, you’ll need to complete your personal information, including details about your service history. This information helps RSL NSW understand your background and ensure your membership is processed accurately.

Step 4: Submit and Await Confirmation

Once you submit your application, RSL NSW will process it internally. You’ll receive an email notifying you of the outcome. If successful, the Coogee Randwick Clovelly Sub-Branch will be notified, and within a few days, we’ll send you a warm welcome email to help you get started.

Becoming an RSL NSW member is quick, simple, and completely free. In just a few steps, you can join a supportive community that values your service. Once approved, you’ll receive a warm welcome and access to the many benefits of membership.

RSL Sub-Branch Membership Types


Service Member

RSL

Any person who has served in the Australian Defence Force, or served with or supported or was otherwise engaged with the Australian Defence Force or the Armed Forces of its Allies, for at least 6 months, or any other person provided for in the Constitution, may be admitted to Service Membership.

Affiliate Member

 

Affiliate

Persons who are eligible to become an Affiliate Member must be eighteen years or age or older and comply with one of the following:

a) is a person who is any relative of a person (living or deceased) who is or was eligible to be a Service or Life Member of the League (proof of eligibility to be provided to the sub-Branch)

b) is a person who has been awarded the Certificate of Merit or a National or State Certificate of Appreciation for giving valued service to the League.

c) is a Cadet and/or Officer or Cadets

d) is any such person deemed by the sub-Branch Committee to have provided significant service to the sub-Branch and support of the Objectives of the League.

When members move, some wish to become involved in the nearest Sub-Branch, but are loathed to break ties with the “old” Sub Branch.

A member who becomes an Associate of another Sub Branch, is only permitted to vote, speak and hold office at one Sub Branch and must choose which that sub-branch will be for the duration of one year.
